Even the staff of North Stratford High School have learned to check the bathrooms and the parking lots first when looking for Arianna Lukasiak. She's the smoothest talker the state of Texas has ever seen and can usually talk herself out of trouble, but it's hard to sweet talk your way out of a drool puddle on your desk.
She was born to an Arabic housewife and an Italian-American businessman father who had converted to being a Muslim, in the war torn country of Israel on January 2, 1990. The family was well off until the Gulf War broke out a year later, in which Fabian Lukasiak uprooted his wife and twin daughters and took them to every child's dream country, Australia. Upon moving to a new place at such a young age, Arianna was not familiar with her birth country and could only grow up hearing her parents regale stories of the old country and what a gem it had been before the war. To Arianna, it was all folklore and Australia would always be her home. Everything changed though when Fabian got a job offer in the United States. At the tender age of ten, Arianna was again forced into calling another place "home", Stratford, Texas.
Her parents were never pleased with her disbelief in their religion, as she had denounced Muslim beliefs at the mere age of nine. But the Lukasiaks were never people to force their children into something that they didn't want. So where he mother wore a cloth over her head, Arianna was free to dress however she chose. It was in the middle of grade 5 that Arianna would meet the one girl who would change her life forever. Because they lived so close together, Arianna's mother made friends with Nicole giorda's mother (though to this day, Arianna can't see why because Amanda Giorda is an awful person), thus setting up playdates with her daughters and the year-older girl. It's safe to say that the relationship between Nic and Arianna didn't start out well, and she still hates having her accent made fun of by her now-best friend. Their friendship had it's ups and downs as the years passed, one incident involving stupid boys and bad decisions had Arianna bailing her best friend out of jail, still feeling guilty to this day about the circumstances that led up to that night.
All in all, she's probably the laziest person God (or Allah, if you ask her family) has put on the earth, but she's smart all the same. Arianna has a habit of smoking too much pot or drinking too much alcohol before important events like exams, finals or you know, school drug tests. Her rebellious behavior started her sophomore year of high school, resulting her repeating it due to lack of class attendance. Her parents weren't pleased with her academic standing and an all out explosion ended up with Ari living on her own at the age of 16. Her parents still help with some (aka most) bills, but she works as a waitress part time to manage her expenses. Her partying 'phase', as her parents liked to consder it as, has yet to calm down and most of her rent money is blown on marijuana or cheap beer. The only thing she has no reserve on, no expectations for is her band. They've become local hometown heroes, earning spots opening for relatively large bands without even trying. Ari fronts the band, called Attitude, and occasionally plays the guitar.

storylines.
ALI - you would think being born and stuck together for 17 years would put a damper on these girls' relationship, but they truly have that *twin connection*. ari would kill anyone that hurt her little sister (by a minute), and she is sure that her twin would do the same. they can fight occasionally and they're both stubborn enough to make it ugly, but when it comes down to it, they're each other's other halves.
NIC - when they met in grade 5, it was certainly not a match made in heaven. nicole was a punkass little kid who decided it would be cool to make fun of her new playmate's australian accent. how this disdain grew into such a strong and, goshdarnit, beautiful friendship still escapes ari's mental grasp. finally, after a torturous time where they couldn't admit their feelings, nicole and arianna gave in and are now happy in love.
